Comment: Not only has this singer smoothly crossed over the register break, but he is able to repeatedly sing the full, well resonated high note loudly and without strain.
Quote: There is another side to the character of resonance: its so-called "carrying power" and "projecting" ability. There is no mystery about this event. When tones of pure vowel quality are sung, efficiency of function is an undeniable correlative. By skillful resonation of the sound waves initiated by the vocal cords, vibrations are able to move out into the auditorium unimpeded by conflicting pulsations. As a result the tone is pure, and pure tone has carrying power, regardless of the intensity level. "Noisy" resonance, caused by "pushing" or other faulty coordinative processes, does not carry.
